Barium Enema: The barium enema is a test that views the bowel or large colon, ie, the lower portion of your gastrointestinal tract. Your doctor may have suggested this test for several reasons, eg, irregularity of bowel motions, bleeding from the bowel and, or, lower abdominal pain.
