Lakes Radiology is the leading provider of private radiology services to the Lakeland region, with purpose-built facilities in Rotorua and Taupo. It is part of the TRG Group of radiology practices.

At Lakes Radiology practices, we provide high quality medical imaging services, supplying oversight, management and film reporting services to general practitioners and specialists within the region, and provide radiology services to the Southern Cross Hospital in Rotorua, and QE Health (the region's leading rheumatological and rehabilitation centre). We also offer a comprehensive breast screening and assessment service for the national screening programme, BreastScreen Aotearoa.

Patients are offered a walk-in service for general x-rays. Appointments are made for ultrasound, mammography and more complex radiological procedures. A same-day service is available for urgent cases, and the radiologist telephones referrers with urgent or unexpected results as soon as possible after the examination is completed.

Lakes Radiology provides a quality imaging service: accreditation by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ) was achieved for Lakes Radiology in May 1999. We have Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Radiology (RANZCR) accreditation for mammography at both Rotorua and Taupo, and have been selected as a pilot site for the RANZCR Accreditation of Radiology Services.

Our entire technical team, including our six radiologists, remain dedicated to ongoing professional quality and development and regularly attend training courses both in New Zealand and overseas.  All are registered with the appropriate New Zealand registration boards.
